Description:
The wonderful tour will show you both natural and historic China. You will have a chance to see the majestic Ming-Qing royal cultural relics - Beijing, the Chinese Ancient Architecture Museum - Shanxi.
Day 1 Beijing

On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the 4 stars New World Courtyard Hotel for a two-night stay. In the afternoon the guide will take you to the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years.
Evening:
After dinner you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera Show at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 2 Beijing
Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.
Evening:
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant.

Day 3 Beijing to Datong
Morning:
Take a half-day tour to explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for good harvest.
Afternoon:
Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. Here you can also find some garden-view landscape which is similar to the gardens of Suzhou.
Evening:
Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Datong

Day 4 Datong to Wutaishan
Morning:
Yungang Grottoes, the oldest one of the three major cave clusters in China, were built in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Yungang Grottoe is also one of the world heritage.
Afternoon:
To visit the marvellous and incredible Hanging Monastery. The Hanging Monastery on the cliff was bulit more than 1500 years ago and it combines different religions. The Wooden Pagoda, located in Yingxian County, is the oldest and highest wooden structure in China. The Wooden Pagoda is now under good protection.

Day 5 Wutaishan to Datong to Beijing
Morning:
Visit the mountains and the temples in Mt. Wutaishan, which is one of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains. Mt. Wutaishan is a holy land for the Buddhist and it is resplendent in many resources owing to its natural conditions and important role in Buddhism.
Afternoon:
Return back to Datong.
Evening:
Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Datong.
