The grand tour perfectly shows you that a combination of neoteric China as well as Ming-Qing royal cultural relics - Beijing, a modern metropolis - Shanghai and the breathtaking natural sceneries in Guilin.
Day 1 Beijing

On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the Qianmen Hotel for a three-night stay on a room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 2 Beijing
Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting.

Day 3 Beijing
Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.

Day 4 Beijing to Shanghai
Morning:
Explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.
Evening:
Transfer to the rail station and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Shanghai

Day 5 Shanghai
Morning:
Visit the Shanghai Museum with its collection of ancient Chinese Art of bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy.
Afternoon:
Continue the Yu Garden, which has over 30 pavilions, linked by a maze of corridors and bridges. And Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha is treasured.

Day 6 Shanghai to Guilin
Morning:
Transfer to take your flight to Guilin.
Afternoon:
Upon arrive, meet the guide and visit historic Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave- a 790 feet deep dripstone cave which includes myriads of stalactites and stalagmites of dazzling colors.

Day 7 Guilin to Yangshuo to Guilin

Today take a scenic river cruise along the Li River with its peaceful senerity and jagged limestone peaks. Lunch is included on board before arriving at Yangshuo where you have free time to explore and peruse the local shops and markets. Continue to take the private vehicle back to Guilin.
