Day 1 Beijing

On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the well-located 4 stars New World Courtyard Hotel for a three-night stay on a room and breakfast basis. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 2 Beijing
Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian’anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting.

Day 3 Beijing
Morning:
You will take a full day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tomb, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.
Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant. After dinner you will enjoy a fascinating Peking Opera Show at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 4 Beijing to Xi’an
Morning:
Explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest. Lunch is included today.
Evening:
Transfer to the rail station and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Xi’an

Day 5 Datong
Morning:
Have a visit of Yungang Grotto, the oldest one of the three major cave clusters in China, which was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Yungang Grotto is also one of the world heritage.
Afternoon:
Followed by Nine Dragon Screen, which was built over 600 years ago, is presently the oldest and largest glazed screen in China today.

Day 6 Datong
Morning:
To visit the marvellous and incredible Hanging Monastery. The Hanging Monastery on the cliff was bulit more than 1500 years ago and it combines different religions.
Afternoon:
The Wooden Pagoda, located in Yingxian County, is the oldest and highest wooden structure in China. The Wooden Pagoda is now under good protection.

Day 7 Datong to Beijing
Morning:
Shanhua Temple was originally founded during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) but it was destroyed by war at the end of the Liao Dynasty (916 - 1125). The extant layout is the best-preserved temple of the Liao and Jin dynasties.
Afternoon:
Upon arrival, meet the guide and transfer to the rail station to Beijing.
