Chinese vice premier meets U.S. guest

Beijing, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu met here Thursday with Arthur Schneier, president of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation of the United States, who was here to attend the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
Hui appreciated Schneier's efforts for boosting the mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and American peoples.
