Datong, is an ancient city located in Shanxi Province, China and has a population of about 3,1 million people. Datong is a large city, with a graceful historic center surrounded by old walls and beautiful Buddhist temples (well-maintained). From the geographical point of view, the composition rises to 1.2 kilometer above sea level in northern Shanxi province, just south of the Great Wall. The area most interesting of Datong is its historical center, that is divided into 4 sections by its main avenues.
